Taipei Trip

Went out last night and had dinner at the Taipei 101, which is the 2nd tallest building in the world. Had dinner on the 85th floor, pretty amazing view! Afterwards had a 2 hour Taiwan massage, which all I can say is that it felt good, but painful at times. They really work you over and use their elbows and knuckles, etc. Got back to the room and talked with my wife and daughter over Skype for a while. The Computex show Day 1 was cool, nothing earth shattering yet though and looking forward to going this morning as well. I have posted pics on Facebook as this site doesnt link my blog to the pictures I posted. Will be posting more tomorrow as we are going sight seeing tomorrow.

Landed in Taiwan and made it through customs, got to teh hotel and are rooms won't be ready for several hours. They gave us one communial room for the three of us to take showers and clean up. Man that shower felt good, after 24 hours of traveling. The plane ride over wasnt bad, watched 3 movies and slept for about 6 hours. Very roomy seats and cabins. Looking forward to seeing the city of Taipei here very shortly. Eating dinner tomorrow night at the Taipei 101, the tallest building in the world. Will take some pictures over the next few days and post them.

Here at LAX airport sitting in the China Airlines lounge waiting on the other 2 guys to meet me. Drinking a scotch and soda and thinking I am already missing my Jack! Trying to stay awake as late as I can to get my body on the new time zone. Will be taking pictures when I land and submitting them on here! Got a nice going away text from my youngest daughter, was very nice to get that. Catch you all on the next post.

Sitting at the St. Louis airport waiting on my first leg of the trip to start. Seeing all the damage to the airport from the Tornado is unreal. Boarded up windows everywhere and saw a lot of damaged buildings on the bus trip from the parking lot. Flying to LAX first and then a 3 hour layover before I start the long flight to Taipei. Missing the family already and I have only been gone for 3 hours Hoping Skype works well on this trip as my phone will not work at all in Taiwan. See you all on the next entry!

I leave Sunday on a 23 hour journey to Taiwan. I will use this space to post pictures and videos of my trip.
